K&N (re-0870) " Cone Filter" - 4" inlet cone filter that is 9" long, and it comes with a 4.5" clamp. The 99+ airboxes are much better than the 97-98 fender draw units. K&Ns replacement air filters are designed to increase horsepower and acceleration while providing excellent filtration.
You could either pick up a used 99+ airbox and 99+ coolant bottle or get our ZZP or Wizair intake.Īll K&N filters are washable with their K&N filter cleaning kit and come with a 1 million mile warranty. We offer the drop in for the 97/98 model GP but do not recommend going that route because, the 97/98 GP air box is blocked from cool air by the factory coolant bottle. tested K&N and regular filters and found no significant difference in air flow, but the K&N let 34 of 5 micron aluminum particles pass right through, compared to less than 4 for most regular pleated filters.
